From carefully crafted dating profiles and online temptation to the comic chaos of speed dating and the anticipation of meeting someone face-to-face, these works by some of America’s most exciting contemporary composers prove that opera has plenty to say about finding connection in the twenty-first century.

A wealthy businessman. His unfulfilled trophy wife. Two secret dates arranged on the same night, with the same idea in mind. Dinner 4 3 follows a marriage gone stale, as husband and wife each turn to internet dating in search of something missing at home. What unfolds is fast, funny, and just a little wicked a marriage secret gets exposed, and infidelity gives way to an unexpected reckoning.
