Joel Clemens

Philadelphia-based Baritone Joel Clemens has been described as a “smooth, thrilling baritone” and “strong dramatic actor,” and is quickly becoming recognized for his exemplary musicianship and dynamic characterization across a broad range of challenging repertoire. He makes a point breathing new life into opera classics while continuing to carry the art form into the future and connecting deeply with his audience.

Last season, Joel joined Opera Memphis as a Handorf Company Artist to sing Fiorello (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), and premiere the role of the doctor in Robert Patterson and Jerre Dye’s Pretty Little Room.
