Virginia Opera Artists to perform at Rose Fest

RICHMOND, Va. (September 24, 2012) – Virginia Opera artists will return to this year’s Rose Fest at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Performances will take place between 12:15 and 2:30 p.m. Admission is free for Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden members with standard admission charged to non-members.

The musical programs consist of opera’s popular arias and duets, including music from La Bohème, Carmen, The Barber of Seville, and The Marriage of Figaro—one of Virginia Opera’s 2012-13 Season productions, with performances at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage in April.

Rose Fest is the perfect setting with the Garden’s more than 1,800 roses providing a unique and picturesque backdrop. To learn more about Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, visit their website: www.lewisginter.org
