Taylor-Alexis DuPont

Taylor-Alexis DuPont is an engaging mezzo-soprano from Orlando, Florida. Since graduating with her Masters in Voice from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University while studying with Denyce Graves, Taylor-Alexis has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the Ising International Young Artist Festival in Beijing and Suzhou, the Glimmerglass Festival, Prototype Festival, Sarasota Opera, St. Petersburg Opera, Opera Orlando, Heartbeat Opera, First Coast Opera, Christman Opera and City Lyric Opera. Performance highlights include Cendrillon (Prince Charmant), Così fan tutte (Dorabella), Ruslan and Ludmilla (Prince Ratmir), The Snow Maiden (Lel) and Pinocchio (Pinocchio).

Last season Taylor-Alexis sang the roles of Moth from Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Santa Fe Opera and Bessie from Mahagonny Songspiel with the Florentine Opera and debuted as a soloist with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in El amor brujo.

Taylor-Alexis was the winner of the first ever Rebecca Luker Award for the 2021 Kurt Weil Lotte Lenya Competition. This season at the Florentine Opera she has performed in their productions of Hansel & Gretel as Hansel, Louisa Fernanda as Louisa Fernanda, and in Rigoletto as Giovanna. This summer she will return to the Glimmerglass Festival as Reba in Taking up Serpents, Gabriel in the world premiere of Holy Ground, Phoebe in the Passion of Mary Cardwell Dawson, and cover Gianna in the world premiere of Tenor Overboard.
