Virginia Opera Guild is a non-profit, Norfolk-based volunteer organization dedicated to promoting attendance at and interest in Virginia Opera.

What does the Guild do?

  • Virginia Opera Guild is governed by a board of directors who serve two-year terms
  • Gifts to the Guild are tax-deductible
  • Supports performers and production teams
  • Promotes Virginia Opera subscription ticket sales
  • Sponsors fundraising events that benefit Virginia Opera
  • Supports Virginia Opera’s artist housing program
  • Hosts artist rehearsal dinners
  • Hosts Rummage Sale at Harrison Opera House
  • Manages the Gift Shop at Norfolk’s Harrison Opera House
  • Sponsors educational “Guild Nights” at Harrison Opera House
  • Spring Annual Member’s Meeting and social
  • Keeps Guild Members informed about opera-related performances, social activities, volunteer opportunities, and fundraisers

Guild contributions to Virginia Opera include annual cash grants and ongoing in-kind donations.

$75.00 annual dual-membership fee
