Harrison Opera House
Norfolk, Virginia
To experience opera in Norfolk is to savor it in surroundings of grand elegance. Once a World War II USO theater, this historic venue was lavishly renovated in 1993. With 1,632 seats, the stunning Edythe C. and Stanley L. Harrison Opera House retains an intimate ambience, but one adorned by the beauty of glittering chandeliers, sweeping staircases and bistro tables where you can sip champagne and drink in the glamour.
Ample modern amenities contribute to your enjoyment. Park in brightly lit lots on both sides of the theater. Parking is available for $5 in the parking lot adjacent to the theater. Spaces are limited, and parking regulations and reserved parking must be observed at all times. Limited on-street parking is also available.
Refreshment stands and bars serve before performances and during intermissions.
