Talin Nalbandian Biography












Talin Nalbandian, mezzo soprano, is a native of Los Angeles, California. She has appeared previously as Maddalena in Rigoletto with Des Moines Metro Opera, Caverna in L’Opera Seria with Wolf Trap Opera, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Oberlin in Italy, Mallika/Mistress Benston in Lakmé with the Manhattan School of Music, and Dorabella in Così fan tutte with Pepperdine University. Ms. Nalbandian completed her undergraduate degree at Pepperdine University, and received her Master’s Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. She was finalist in the Gerda Lissner Lieder Competition, and a recipient of the AGBU Performing Arts Fellowship.  This season, as an Emerging Artist with the Virginia Opera, Ms. Nalbandian will be performing the role of the Fish/Queen in the fall educational tour of Trish and the Fish.
