July 28, 2016 – Virginia Opera announced today the appointment of Anne-Carolyn Bird in the newly reorganized position of Executive/Artistic Coordinator; she will begin with the company on August 1.
Richmond, VA (September 23, 2016) Governor Terry McAuliffe announced that Virginia Opera received $50,000 from the Virginia Tourism Corporation Marketing Leverage Program grant fund. In total VTC awarded $927,000 for 43 tourism marketing projects across the state to help increase visitation and revenue for Virginia’s localities through tourism.
