Katherine Sanford Schrock

Katherine Sanford Schrock is emerging as a versatile artist in the operatic and concert realms. In recent seasons, Ms. Sanford has joined the rosters of Nashville Opera, Opera San Jose, Opera Colorado, Opera Modesto, and Pacific Northwest Opera. Her operatic roles include Musetta in La Boheme, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, Nicklausse in les contes d’Hoffmann, Hansel in Hansel und Gretel, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, and the Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte. In the autumn of 2017 she made with her New York debut on a concert program devoted to operatic trouser role characters under the aegis of the Metropolitan Opera Guild.

Equally comfortable as a concert soloist, Katherine has performed with the Eastern Chorale Arts Society, Baltimore Choral Society, the Fresno Master Chorale, the Bakersfield Master Chorale, among others.

Katherine has fulfilled young artist residencies with such prestigious regional companies as Nashville Opera, Opera Colorado, and Des Moines Metro Opera. She earned her Masters degree at the University of Michigan and her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland.
