Now in it’s 4th year at beautiful Town Point Park on the waterfront, this FREE event is the perfect event to cap off a gorgeous summer! Pack a picnic and come enjoy opera’s greatest hits, sung under the stars by Virginia Opera’s leading performers. Featuring the Virginia Symphony Orchestra led by Maestro Gerald Steichen. Feel free to pack a picnic for Saturday! Bring blankets, chairs, pillows... whatever will make you comfortable. However, we do ask that you leave tents at home as they are likely to obstruct the view and enjoyment of others. A limited selection of alcoholic beverages will be provided at the event from Prince Michel Winery and Chatham Vineyards, as well as Hoffman Beverage, who will be on site with a selection of beers including Norfolk's own O'Connor. If you are cooler-less, All in One Catering will also be on hand with a selection of park-friendly food and soft drinks.

PLAN AHEAD! The Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel and the James River Bridge will be closed this weekend for major maintenance. The Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Brigde-Tunnel will be open for travel to Norfolk. Read more at WVEC.com.
